ODIN Privacy Policy
1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect, how we use and disclose that information, and how you can control its use. It applies to the ODIN application and related services provided by Major League Software ("ODIN," "we," "us," or "our"), and to your communications with us. Personal information is information that identifies or can reasonably be associated with you.
ODIN is available to individuals in the United States who are at least 13 years old.
2. Information we collect
We collect account information you provide, including your email address, name, sign-in information, age range and country. If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the information Apple provides for that purpose. When you contact us, we collect the information included in your request.
We receive your documents, notes, attachments, saved versions and conversations when you use cloud synchronization or AI features. This includes the messages and document content submitted for AI processing, the responses generated, and records of those requests.
When you use online features, we and our service providers may collect device and usage information, including your IP address, approximate location, operating system, account and request identifiers, service usage and diagnostic records.
Apple processes subscription payments. We receive the transaction information needed to verify purchases and provide access, but not your full payment-card number.
3. How we use information
We use the information you supply to provide the services you request. This includes managing your account, storing and synchronizing content, answering questions and performing AI tasks, and administering subscriptions and usage allowances. We also use information to respond to inquiries, improve the reliability and functionality of ODIN, prevent fraud and misuse, protect our users and services, and comply with legal obligations.
PDF recognition, speech transcription and speech playback take place on your device. When you submit a voice question, the resulting transcript is sent for AI processing.
4. Cloud and AI features
Cloud synchronization is off by default on each account and device. Enabling it uploads your account library so it can be available on your other signed-in devices. Turning it off stops future synchronization on that device but does not delete existing cloud copies.
When you use Ask ODIN, your message, open document and conversation history are sent to our servers and AI service providers, even if cloud synchronization is off. Access to relevant material in your other account documents is on by default and can be disabled in Settings. Conversations and records of AI tasks may be stored in your account.
We configure AI model requests to use providers offering zero data retention and to prohibit use of those requests for provider training. These restrictions do not cover information retained by ODIN, search services or independent websites. ODIN does not currently use your documents to train its own models. Before introducing such a program, we will explain its terms and provide an effective choice, including permission where required.
Conversation memory is optional and off by default. You can turn it off or clear saved memories in Settings. Clearing memories does not delete the source documents or conversations.
Ask ODIN may search the web automatically. Queries can include details from your documents or conversations and are sent to external search services, including backup services when needed. Search services may retain queries and use them to improve their services, including training models, under their own policies. You can enable Ask before web searches to review queries before they are sent; this setting is off by default. ODIN also asks before opening external addresses for tasks involving private context. The sites receive the requested addresses and related connection information.
5. Disclosure of information
We disclose information to service providers that help us operate ODIN. Hosting, storage and authentication providers process account information, content and operational records. AI and search providers process the content needed to fulfill your requests. Apple processes information for sign-in and subscriptions.
We may disclose information as required by law or legal process, to investigate fraud or security incidents, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights, property or safety of ODIN and others. If our business or a substantial part of its assets is acquired by another company, customer information may be transferred to that company. We may also disclose information with your permission or at your direction.
ODIN does not use advertising or session-replay tools or track your activity across other companies' apps or websites for advertising. The application does not respond to browser Do Not Track signals. Independent search services and websites may collect information about your activity over time and across websites under their own policies.
ODIN may contain links to other sites. We have no control over the privacy practices of those sites and recommend that you read their privacy policies.
6. Your choices and rights
You can manage optional cloud and AI features in Settings and microphone permissions in your device settings. You can also export your account information or request account deletion in Settings. An account export includes information for that account.
Deleting a document removes it from your library. Deletions reach your cloud library when synchronization is enabled. Signing out does not erase your documents. Account deletion removes associated information from active systems, subject to the retention provisions below. Copies on other devices may remain until those devices reconnect. Other accounts, exported files and independently managed backups are not included in account deletion. Apple subscriptions must be cancelled separately through Apple.
You may contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to obtain a copy of your information, restrict certain uses, or appeal our response to a privacy request. We may request information needed to verify your identity and authority and may limit a request where the law permits. We will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.
7. Retention of information
We retain information to provide the services described in this policy and to meet recovery, billing, security and legal needs. Removing a document from your library does not necessarily erase its content, attachments, saved versions or related conversations; recovery copies may remain.
After account deletion, some information may remain in backups or service-provider records, or as needed for fraud prevention, legal compliance, disputes or preventing restoration of a deleted account. Local application data may remain until you remove it and may be included in device backups according to your settings. You and your backup provider control retention of exported files and device backups.
8. Protection of information
We use access controls and encrypted connections to protect personal information. Authorized administrators may access cloud content for service operations, security or support. Cloud content is not end-to-end encrypted. No data transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
9. Children’s privacy
ODIN is not intended for children under 13, and children under 13 may not use the service. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to stop that use and delete the information as required by law. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted personal information may contact us at the address below.
10. Changes to this policy
We will occasionally update this policy. You can determine when it was last updated by looking at the date above. We will make the revised policy available through ODIN and notify you of material changes through the application, by email or as otherwise required by law. We will obtain permission for a new use of information where required.
11. Contact information
Questions, concerns and requests regarding the use or disclosure of personal information should be directed to Major League Software at ekam@majorleaguesoftware.com.
